Abstract:

Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs) have the potential to play an important role in the green transition. The microstructure of OPVs plays a role in nearly all aspect of device operation such as exciton splitting and charge carrier transport. Scattering techniques, such as Grazing Incidence Wide Angle X-ray Scattering (GIWAXS) or Small Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS), offer the possibility of both qualitative and quantitative analysis of OPV thin film microstructure.
