I studied how glutamate receptor-mediated responses, spatial arrangements, intrinsic properties and molecular specificity of cells serve cortical functions. I tested whether two somatosensory submodalities in the primary somatosensory (SI) cortex can be distinguished by glutamate receptor involvement in vivo.
