Thesis
Hydroxamate-based nuclease inhibitors and anti cancer fumarate derivatives
- Abstract:
- This thesis describes two approaches to the development of small molecule treatments for cancer. The first approach involved the development of inhibitors of the human SNM1 nucleases, which play important roles in DNA damage repair; in particular SNM1C. A second line of investigation concerned the development of fumarate derivatives as cancer cell-selective cytotoxic agents.
