Disorder–property relationships in magnetic and pseudospin framework materials

Abstract:

Framework materials are a diverse set of solids known for their mechanical flexibility, topological diversity, and crystallinity. The ordering temperature of magnetic spins in framework materials is low—typically around a few Kelvin. Analogues can be drawn between magnetic spins and structural ‘pseudospin’ degrees of freedom, for which ordering occurs at higher temperatures and shows complex interplay with vibrations.
