1. Systematic Review of the Literature

Objectives: Cognitive research into eating disorders (EDs) highlights perfectionism as a risk factor and maintenance mechanism. All existing reviews of perfectionism in EDs are quantitative. This review aimed to synthesise all available qualitative studies of perfectionism in people with EDs: seeking to supplement quantitative overviews with greater phenomenological insight.
