Abstract:

This Thesis describes the synthesis and characterisation of new Group 2, Group 3 and lanthanide amide, alkyl, halide, borohydride and alkoxide complexes, and their uses as catalysts for the living ROP and immortal ring-opening polymerisation (iROP) of rac-, L, D- and meso-lactide.
