This thesis is a political and historical geography of Naga (inter)nationalist intellectual thought from 1946 to 2022. For the Nagas, the administrative end of colonialism did not herald political emancipation. Instead, the transfer of power from British to Indian rule in 1947 marked the beginning of a continuing struggle for Naga self-determination.
