Selections from an Elizabethan miscellany of verse: a digital edition

- This dataset consists of two XML files created as part of a Digital Editions course run by the Taylor Institution Library during Trinity Term 2019. The course required participants to produce a digital edition of a printed or manuscript text. The material edited here comprises seven pages from Bodleian Libraries, MS Rawl. poet. 108. The first XML file contains an encoded transcription of the original text. The second file includes the same transcription alongside English translations of the Latin content. Both files were created and edited using Oxygen XML Editor and are encoded in accordance with the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI P5) guidelines.

Abstract: The Taylor Editions website showcases the work of members of the University of Oxford. The texts are the result of a practical training course in creating Digital Editions, which is led by library staff at the Taylor Institution Library, and is open to all members of the University. The images and texts in this resource have been created by the course participants themselves.
