Autoimmunity is a failure to tolerate circulating or cell surface expressed self antigens,leading to activation of the immune system and attack of self tissues. Muscle-specific kinase (MuSK) myasthenia gravis (MG) is a disease caused by antibodies to MuSK and hallmarked by fatigable muscle weakness.
