Abstract:

The subsurface temperature distribution of airless bodies across the Solar System can provide important clues to their formation and evolution. This thesis investigates the lunar soil temperature profile using data from the recent Chinese lunar orbiting spacecrafts Chang‘E 1 and 2 to explore variations in the subsurface temperature of the Moon.
