Records of work done in the Protestant Cemetery, Rome, in 1986

This consists of TEI XML files which cover gravestones, people, and inscriptions, a limited number of photographs. XSL scripts for making web pages and PDF (using LaTeX) are also part of the setup.

Recording of gravestones in the Protestant Cemetery, Rome, undertaken between 1984 and 1986 under the auspices of the Unione internazionale degli istituti di archeologia storia e storia dell'arte in Roma, and organised by the Swedish Academy in Rome. The record consists of XML files (one per gravestone) using the Text Encoding Initiative scheme, which include a description, location, and classification of the gravestone, transcribed inscriptions, prosopographical summaries of people commemorated, and (in some cases) photographs of the stone.
