An integrated study of Neolithic wetland agroecology in the Lower Yangtze River basin, China

Abstract:

The Lower Yangtze River basin (LYRB) is one of a number of important centres of agricultural origins worldwide. The agriculture that emerged here was mainly focused on rice (Oryza sativa L.), particularly paddy rice. Previous research showed that there were indications for the occurrence of dryland components in the wetland agroecology of the LYRB.
