Essays in monetary economics

Abstract:

This dissertation presents three self-contained chapters which discuss topics within monetary economics.

Chapter 1 analyzes the transmission channels that drive the effect of monetary policy on consumption inequality using a tractable Two-Agent New Keynesian (TANK) models with search-and-matching frictions and wage rigidities.
