Cooperation, exploitation, and trust: migration from Edo state, Nigeria into sex work in Europe

Abstract:

This thesis aims to understand cooperation and exploitation in human trafficking. The literature on human trafficking tends to regard these concepts as self-evident. This thesis argues that they are not self-evident and builds on sociological theories of trust in the context of criminal networks and the context of migration.
