- Abstract:
- The following document will provide details on the development of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that will be entered into the 2nd Annual AUVSI Student UAV Competition held by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International. At a higher level, our objective is to develop a UAV that is capable of performing realistic autonomous missions in an aviation environment. In order to achieve our goal of developing such a UAV, we were required to integrate multiple hardware components along with various interacting electronic devices. Software development will ensure that these devices properly interact and communicate with each other. This paper presents a detailed description of the system architecture based on the FPSLIC, and the UAV structure, functionality, and implementation of its subsystems.
