Tunability of the NLC final focus system

Abstract:

The efficiency of the new next linear collider (NLC) final focus (FF) system was investigated as a function of the incoming beam characteristics such as energy speed, emittances and energy spread. Simulations indicate that the system had the necessary correction elements to be tuned to maximize luminosity even in the presence of errors.
