(eta(5)-C5Me5)Fe(CO)(2)(BOCH2CH2CH2O): an organoiron complex containing the (trimethyleneglycolato)boryl ligand

Abstract:: The structure of the pentamethylcyclopentadienyliron boryl complex (η5-C5Me5)Fe(CO)2B(tmg) (tmg = trimethylene glycolato, -OCH2CH2CH2O-), reveals a planar three-coordinate boryl ligand and an Fe-B distance significantly in excess of that reported for related catecholboryl complexes.
