THE APPLICATION OF NEUTRON REFLECTION TO THE STUDY OF LAYERS ADSORBED AT LIQUID INTERFACES

Abstract:
The theory of neutron reflectivity is treated in the kinematic approximation. The formulae derived are used in conjunction with experimental examples to assess the sensitivity of the technique for investigating adsorbed amount, interfacial structure, and solvent distribution at an interface. Examples of both solid-liquid and air-liquid interfaces are given. © 1991.
