Selective labelling of the hydrophobic segments of intrinsic membrane proteins with a lipophilic photogenerated carbene.

Abstract:

HYDROPHOBIC photogenerated reagents are attractive candidates for the labelling of those parts of membrane proteins that are buried within the lipid bilayer.
