alpha and beta relaxation processes in ZnCl2 - a computer simulation study

Abstract:
Results for the single-particle motion in a realistic simulation model of the intermediate-strength, network-forming liquid ZnCl2 in the vicinity of its melting point are presented. The shape of the self-intermediate scattering function, as seen in incoherent neutron scattering experiments, is compared, qualitatively, with the predictions of the mode-coupling theory. © 1999 IOP Publishing Ltd.
