Updating Migration Systems Theory for 21st Century

Abstract:: This paper will critique the existing literature on migration systems based on recent literature on broader social systems. Drawing on material from a project exploring the evolution of migration systems, it will offer show how the concept of migration systems can be refined to make them both theoretically robust and useful for understanding changing migration patterns.
