Report
Summary: What have we learned from the Young Lives study in Peru?
- Abstract:
- The Young Lives Peru Country Report presents a summary of the main findings that emerge from analysing the Young Lives data from Peru across a longitudinal study following two cohorts of children in various situations from remote rural areas to urban communities, as a component of a larger multicountry project. The study relates conditions early in the lives of children to later outcomes, and so improves understanding of the effects of poverty on children’s life trajectories. It also provides information on changes taking place in the lives of children, and offers evidence-based guidance for policies to improve children’s chances of developing their full potential as individuals and members of their communities.
