Abstract:

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is an important factor mediating tumour angiogenesis. VEGF mRNA is differentially expressed in bladder cancer with high expression in superficial tumours (stage pTa and pT1) contrasting with low expression in muscle invasive tumours (stage > or = pT2).
