Assessing metabolic flux in plants with radiorespirometry

Abstract:

Carbohydrates are the dominant respiratory substrate in many plant cells. However, the route of carbohydrate oxidation varies depending on the relative cellular demands for energy, reductant and precursors for biosynthesis.
