- Abstract:
- This Spanish translation of the annual Reuters Institute Predictions report looks at the key trends that will impact media in 2020 and over the next decade. It argues that the next ten years will be defined by increasing regulation of the internet, and attempts to re-establish trust in journalism. It will also be marked by the next wave of technological disruption from AI-driven automation, big data, and new visual and voice-based interfaces. More immediately we will see further moves in the media towards reader revenue and away from advertising based business models. 2020 will also see publishers investing in podcasts and other audio products.
