Striatal dopamine neurotransmission: regulation of release and uptake

Abstract:

Dopamine (DA) transmission is governed by processes that regulate release from axonal boutons in the forebrain and the somatodendritic compartment inmidbrain, and by clearance by the DA transporter, diffusion, and extracellular metabolism.
