An efficient synthesis of 3,4-bis(tri-n-butylstannyl)furan

Abstract:
Palladium-catalysed addition of hexa-n-butylditin to 2-butyne-1,4-diol, followed by oxidative cyclisation and dehydration gives 3,4-bis(tri-n-butylstannyl)furan in high yield.
