Structural basis of fibrillar collagen trimerization and related genetic disorders.

Abstract:

The C propeptides of fibrillar procollagens have crucial roles in tissue growth and repair by controlling both the intracellular assembly of procollagen molecules and the extracellular assembly of collagen fibrils.
