The genome sequence of the Leafhopper, Cicadella viridis (Linnaeus, 1758) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae)
- Abstract:
- We present a genome assembly from an individual female Cicadella viridis (Leafhopper; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hemiptera; Cicadellidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1 425.45 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.3%) is scaffolded into 11 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 19.59 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
