Catalytic stereoselective semihydrogenation of alkynes to E-alkenes.

Abstract:: Less is more: Significant advancements have been made in recent years in the development of the E-selective, catalytic, functional-group-tolerant semihydrogenation of alkynes to E-alkenes through transition-metal catalysis (see scheme).
