Carrier relaxation and localisation in v-groove quantum wires

Abstract:
We report measurements of carrier relaxation in strongly confined undoped GaAs/AlGaAs v-groove quantum wires as a function of temperature up to 60 K. Strong evidence of incomplete carrier relaxation and localisation is observed at low temperatures.
