Considering complexity: animal social networks and behavioural contagions
- Abstract:
- The spread of behaviours through animalsocial networks have often been consid-ered as ‘simple contagions’. However,research across other disciplines nowprovides substantial grounding for the‘complex contagion’ of behaviours. Thestudy of animal behaviour could benefitgreatly from generally expanding toincorporate these new insights.
