Abstract:

Despite their cosmological utility, the progenitors of Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) are still unknown, with many efforts focused on whether accretion from a nondegenerate companion can grow a carbon–oxygen white dwarf to near the Chandrasekhar mass.
