A Janus [2]rotaxane synthesized by using an anion-templated clipping methodology.

Abstract:: Clipping a Janus rotaxane: The synthesis of a novel anion-templated Janus [2]rotaxane species consisting of pyridinium chloride axle and isophthalamide macrocyclic components is reported.
