Departures from the sentencing guidelines

Abstract:: This article explores the 2009 Act's test for departing from sentencing guidelines, in the light of the Lord Chief Justice's judgment in the "riots" case of Blackshaw,the wording of the statute, and relevant case-law. © 2012 Thomson Reuters (Professional) UK Ltd.
