This data set consists of 13 image files in [TIFF] format, and an XML file. These files were created as part of a Digital Editions course, run by the Taylor Institution Library, during Trinity Term 2020. The course required participants to create a digitized version of a printed text. This text is 13 pages from Ovid, 43 B.C.-17 A.D. or 18 A.D. Translated by Barrin, Jean. 1692. Les epistres et toutes les elegies amoureuses d’Ovide. A La Haye: Chez Abraham de Hontd. Marchand libraire sur la grand’ Sale du Palais à la Renommée, VET.FR.I.A.112. The images of the original text were created using the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S7 and then converted to TIFF format using GIMP. The XML file included here contains an encoded transcription of the original text, created and edited using Oxygen XML Editor, according to Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) guidelines.
