Detection of subtle white matter lesions in MRI through texture feature extraction and boundary delineation using an embedded clustering strategy

Abstract:
This paper deals with the detection of white matter lesions from magnetic resonance images. The aim is to distinguish individual brain structures and subsequently detect lesions in them. The detection of brain structures is solved using segmentation, while the detection of lesions is solved using environment-dependent thresholding. Subsequent data processing is used to refine the lesion detection.450 - Katedra kybernetiky a biomedicínského inženýrstvídobř
