The genome sequence of a hoverfly, <i>Merodon equestris</i> (Fabricius, 1794)

Abstract:: We present a genome assembly from an individual female Merodon equestris (hoverfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Syrphidae). The genome sequence is 873.0 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.95 kilobases in length.
