Uptake of unnatural trehalose analogs as a reporter for Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Abstract:

The detection of tuberculosis currently relies upon insensitive and unspecific techniques; newer diagnostics would ideally co-opt specific bacterial processes to provide real-time readouts.
