Abstract:: This presentation highlights the dimensions that organizational studies scholarship would highlight as being critical to furthering knowledge translation research. Attention is drawn to a number of dimensions of organizational complexity: knowledge translation as a processual phenomena, the contestability of knowledge, the existence and influence of multiple actors in healthcare contacts, the influence of professional and cognitive boundaries and the active role of context.
