Incorporation of patient-centered outcomes into current trauma registries: A first attempt

Abstract:
Trauma registries provide instrumental data for quality assessment and improvement; however, they are limited by their lack of post-discharge data, which is necessary for studying long-term impact of trauma care. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are critical for understanding trauma survivors’ experiences with recovery. To address this gap, we sought to determine the feasibility of incorporating PROMs into an existing trauma registry.
