Recognition of influenza virus proteins by cytotoxic T lymphocytes.

Recombinant DNA techniques have been used to express the proteins of influenza virus individually. Target cells expressing single viral proteins were then used to identify the molecules recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLS).
