Researching teacher learning through self-video

Abstract:
This article provides a discussion of how self-video can be used in teacher learning. It first considers the different models of video-based teacher learning, the role self-video plays in teacher learning, and the complexities involved when researching the process of using teacher self-video as part of continuing professional development. Examples of use are presented, that have conceptualized and operationalized video-based teaching learning in different ways. It concludes with a brief discussion of current opportunities, challenges and future possibilities.
