SELECTIVE MEMORY, DEPRESSION, AND RESPONSE BIAS - AN UNBIASED RESPONSE

Abstract:
The comments made on our preceding article by Zuroff, Colussy, and Wielgus are helpful in clarifying their theoretical position. However, detailed examination of recent work reported both by Zuroff et al. and by others does not cause us to alter our previous conclusion that satisfactory evidence for a response-bias explanation of selective memory effects in depression is at present lacking. © 1986 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
