- Lay Summary: This study reviewed existing research to compare the cost and effectiveness of alternative cardiac rehabilitation programmes with traditional centre-based programmes.Alternative cardiac rehabilitation programmes provide similar health benefits to centre-based programmes. They are often less expensive, with most studies showing lower costs.
