Perspective practical: a digital edition (incomplete)

Documentation:
This data set consists of nine image files in TIFF format, and an XML file. These files were created as part of a course entitled 'DIY Digital Editions', run by Emma Huber, Subject Consultant for German at the Taylor Institution Library, during Hilary Term 2018. The course required participants to create a digitised version of a printed text. Each of the nine image files included here show one page from a much longer printed text entitled Perspective practical : or, A plain and easie method of true and lively representing all things to the eye at a distance, by the exact rules of art. The text is by Jean Dubreuil, translated by Robert Pricke. The original printed text was published in 1672 and is held in the Taylor Institution Library. The images of the original text were created using a digital camera (and then converted to TIFF format using Adobe Photoshop). The XML file included here contains an encoded transcription of the original text, created and edited using Oxygen XML Editor, according to Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) guidelines.
