Carbohydrate molecular recognition: a spectroscopic investigation of carbohydrate-aromatic interactions.
The physical basis of carbohydrate molecular recognition at aromatic protein binding sites is explored by creating molecular complexes between a series of selected monosaccharides and toluene (as a truncated model for phenylalanine).
