Abstract:

The evolution of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) towards dilatation and hypokinesis is an increasingly recognized complication with a high incidence of adverse outcomes, including sudden cardiac death, requiring defibrillator implantation and cardiac transplantation.
