Finiteness properties for subgroups of GL(n, Z)

Abstract:: We construct finitely presented subgroups of GL(n, ℤ) that have infinitely many conjugacy classes of finite subgroups. This answers a question of Grunewald and Platonov. We suggest a variation on their question.
