Abstract:

Due to their ability to mimic the actions of mammalian estrogens, soy phytoestrogens have been proposed as potential therapeutic agents to aid in preventing postmenopausal bone loss. In vitro, phytoestrogens promote osteoblastogenesis and inhibit osteoclastogenesis.
